Theft arrest made in Mountain Home, another suspect being sought

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR (KAIT)-  A man was arrested in Baxter County for breaking into and stealing from vehicles.  Now police are looking for a second suspect.

According to Mountain Home Police, on January 29 just after 3 a.m. police responded to a call of vehicle break-ins at an apartment complex.  Police say an Arkansas State Trooper found one suspect near the scene in tall grass. 

Robert L. Vargason of Horseshoe Bend was arrested.  Police Chief Carry Manuel says Vargason had some of the stolen items on him.  He was charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering and two counts of theft.       

During the investigation, police learned Vargason and another suspect were looking for cash or items to sell for gas money to drive to Salem.

Mountain Home Police say the investigation is ongoing.
