FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Fayetteville police are investigating a fatal shooting at an apartment complex.
When officers arrived at the scene early Sunday, they found a man who apparently had forced his way into an apartment through a window.
Investigators told KHOG-TV (http://bit.ly/yYaoHH) that the man was confronted by a resident armed with a handgun and ordered to leave. Police say the man complied but re-entered the apartment through the same window and was shot by the resident.
He died at the scene.
Officers say the man lived in the same apartment complex and possibly attempted to force entry into the wrong residence.
