POCAHONTAS, AR - Almost six years after the Elliott family was massacred, their bodies strewn around Randolph County, a man accused of slaying them along with his father is scheduled for trial next week.

Charles Wayne "Chad" Green is charged with four counts of capital murder and one count of kidnapping.  He could be sentenced to death if convicted.

Prosecutors said jury selection probably wouldn't begin until Tuesday.

Chad Green accepted a plea bargain in August but later withdrew from the agreement.  The offer remained open after Green withdrew from the deal, but prosecutors said today that plea negotiations appear to have broken down.
