First Trial in Elliott Family Slayings Begins Today in Pocahontas

POCAHONTAS, AR - Trial is set to begin today in Randolph County for a man charged with four counts of capital murder in the deaths of a Dalton family.  Chad Green is accused of the 1998 slayings of Carl Allen Elliott; Elliott's wife, Lisa; and their children, Felicia and Gregory.  Authorities believe the murders occured after a drug deal involving Carl Elliott went bad.

Chad Green's father, Billy Dale Green, is a co-defendant and is scheduled for trial in May.  Chad Green's brother and Billy Dale's son, Jason Green, is charged with hindering apprehension.  Jason Green is expected to testify in his brother's and his father's trials.
