Library hosts Yoga and Smoothies for teens

Posted:

JONESBORO, AR - Yoga is good for both the body and the mind. Saturday some Region 8 teens and adults took a breath and worked out some tension.

Yoga instructor Ellen McGehee said teens live in a very stressful world just like adults. "Yoga" she says, "slows our breath and with that our daily lives."

McGhee described Saturday's session as a normal introduction type class.

"We'll start from the ground and build up. Finally come to a mountain pose and from there maybe do some warrior posture and standing poses. We'll wait and see."

About a dozen teens and adults attended the event held in the round room.

Today's event was one of many offerings at the library.
