FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) - A Region 8 man was arrested after he fled from Forrest City police officers.

According to the Forrest City Police Department, an officer pulled behind a vehicle on Victoria Street in Forrest City. That car then pulled into a driveway and a white male got out of the car. The officer knew the suspect didn't live at that home so he stopped, which is when the suspect fled on foot. After a short foot chase, the suspect was apprehended.

The man was later identified as 39-year-old Dennis Dewayne Fisk of Forrest City. Fisk had been driving on a suspended license. Further investigation revealed Fisk was carrying a small amount of marijuana, syringes and prescription pills on him.

Fisk has been charged with Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana less than 4 ounces, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Fleeing and Driving on a Suspended Drivers License 2nd offense.

Fisk was then taken to the St. Francis County Jail where he's being held pending his initial arraignment on Monday, February 27.
