Randolph County authorities arrest 3 men accused of stealing metal

RANDOLPH COUNTY, AR (KAIT)-  Three men have been arrested and accused of stealing metal from another person's property.

According to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, the victim said that someone stole the items from his property on Browns Lake Road sometime between February 20 and 22.  The victim told officers someone gained access to his property by cutting or untying a cable strung across an old levee road.

On February 24, the victim called the sheriff's office again to report the suspect were back on the property taking metal once again.  Sheriff Gary Tribble and other officers stopped a silver pick-up truck pulling a trailer loaded with scrap metal.  The sheriff says the victim identified the metal as the metal taken from the property.

Officers arrested Jonathan Treadwell, Timothy Osburn and Andrew Stough.  Treadwell told officers he was given permission to be on the property and remove the metal.  Officers also say Osburn and Stough were asked by Treadwell to help move the scrap.

All three men are accused of felony theft and criminal trespass.  They are all in jail awaiting a bond hearing scheduled for February 28.
