Lady Razorbacks to face Ole Miss in 1st round of SEC Tournament

FAYETTEVILLE (UofA) - The University of Arkansas women's basketball team faces Ole Miss in the first round of the 2012 Southeastern Conference Tournament in Nashville, Tenn.

Arkansas (21-7 overall, 10-6 SEC) moved into the fifth seed spot with their loss at South Carolina Sunday.  Ole Miss (12-17, 2-14) enters the tournament as the No. 12 seed.  Arkansas lost to Ole Miss during the regular season.

Kentucky (24-5, 13-3 SEC) finished as the No. 1 seed.  Tennessee is the No. 2 seed followed by Georgia and LSU as the third and fourth seeds, respectively.  Those four teams all have first round byes.

Arkansas is a fifth seed followed by six-seed South Carolina, seventh-seed Vanderbilt, eighth-seed Florida, ninth-seed Auburn, 10th-seed Mississippi State, 11th-seed Alabama and 12th-seed Ole Miss.

If the Razorbacks win their first round game, they face fourth-seed LSU in the second round.  Arkansas' first-round game with Ole Miss is scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. tip Thursday and airs live on FSN.
