Coroner: No obvious cause of death for LR runner

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Pulaski County Coroner says preliminary autopsy results don't reveal a cause of death for a runner who died during the Little Rock Marathon.

The coroner's office said Monday that a toxicology report that is pending may shed light on what caused 37-year-old Michael Kelly of Little Rock to collapse and die Saturday during a half-marathon portion of the race.

Kelly collapsed at the 11-mile mark of the 13.1-mile event.

Little Rock television station KATV reports (http://is.gd/22yNRs ) that the toxicology report will assess chemicals in Kelly's body and evaluate different tissues.

Race organizers say EMTs were on scene within three minutes of Kelly's collapse.
