Trio of Red Wolves earn All-Sun Belt honors from

JONESBORO, Ark. (ASU) – Three of the starters on the Arkansas State men's basketball team were named to the All-Sun Belt Conference basketball teams.

Senior forward Malcoln Kirkland and junior guard Trey Finn were second-team selections while junior forward Brandon Peterson was named to the third team.

Kirkland also earned third-team All-Sun Belt Conference honors from the league while ranking second for the Red Wolves averaging 12.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Kirkland also led the league in field goal percentage shooting 55.9% from the floor. Kirkland was one of three Red Wolves to start all 34 games.

Finn, who was named All-Sun Belt Conference Tournament, averaged 11.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in 30 appearances, including 29 starts. Inconference play, Finn averaged 11.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.

Peterson led ASU in overall rebounding averaging 7.9 per game, while also scoring 9.2 rebounds per game. Peterson also led ASU with 33 blocked shots and connected on 66% of his free throw attempts starting in all 34 games, leading ASU in playing time averaging 32.6 minutes per game.
