Search warrant yields meth lab components

WILLIFORD, AR (KAIT)-  Sheriff's officials arrest a man after finding meth lab components in his home.

According the Sharp County Sheriff's Department, David Smalley was arrested on Wednesday. Officers were called to his residence on 214 W. Mary Street in Williford after someone complained about a strong chemical odor.  When they arrived at Smalley's home, officers say they could smell chemicals.

Officers say Smalley allowed them to search the home where they found a glass pipe with residue and a blender with white powder in it.

Sheriff's officials obtained a search warrant and say they found meth, along with two bottles used to make the substance.

According to Sheriff Mark Counts, Smalley confessed to cooking meth on several occasions at his home.

Formal charges for Smalley are pending.

    According to Jackson County Sheriff's Captain Ricky Morales, 40-year-old Rickey D. Crawford Jr., of Tuckerman, was arrested in relation to the death of 33-year-old Amanda Michelle Crawford.
