LITTLE ROCK, AR - The sides in former basketball coach Nolan Richardson have submitted their witness lists for trial. The names will resonate as some of the more notable sports and academic figures involved with the school.
Several witnesses were called by both sides: Chancellor John A. White, U-A System President B. Alan Sugg, athletic director Frank Broyles and Chuck Dicus of the Razorback Foundation. Also listed are Arkansas football coach Houston Nutt, Oklahoma State coach Eddie Sutton, several current and former members of the Arkansas board of trustees and a handful of television and newspaper reporters.
Richardson sued the university and the Razorback Foundation after he was fired March 1, 2002. He claimed he was fired because he is black and outspoken.
