Police: Husband faces no charges in death of Bono woman

BONO, AR (KAIT) – Police now say the husband of a woman who died unexpectedly in Bono is not facing any charges her death.

According to Craighead County Sheriff's investigator Justin Rolland, the Arkansas State Crime Lab has confirmed that  Lana Franks, 48, died of natural causes. Rolland says because of this, Lana's husband, David Hanks, 51, will not face charges.

Police say two 911 calls came in Saturday afternoon from David Hanks and his son telling operators that Lana Franks was unresponsive.

When officers arrived to the home on 145 CR 347, they say they found Lana Franks on the floor and David Franks performing CPR. Officers took over CPR while waiting for paramedics to arrive.

Lana Franks was rushed to St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, where she was pronounced dead.

Police say they originally labeled Lana Frank's death as suspicious because she and her husband had been in the middle of a verbal argument when she reportedly lost consciousness.

Police say they never found any marks on Lana Franks indicating domestic abuse.
