Autopsy shows Ark. man died of natural causes

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a man who was found dead by family members at his home in Jordan died of natural causes.

The Baxter County Sheriff's office says the Arkansas State Medical Examiner's Office made the conclusion in the case of 54-year-old Randy Parnell.

Family members notified the sheriff's office after finding Parnell dead at his home in Jordan on March 10. A preliminary investigation revealed that Parnell was last seen on March 8 at about 11 a.m. by another relative.

No foul play was suspected, but investigators sought an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death anyway.
