Missouri man discharges weapon in neighborhood, winds up in jail

CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) - Caruthersville Police Officers responded to a shots fired early Saturday morning.

According to the police report, the shots fired happened in the 1200 block of Vest Street.

Officers were advised that a black male in a late model Chevy pick-up had driven by and fired several shots into the air.

A vehicle matching that description was later located in Kennett, Missouri by the Kennett Police Department.

Subsequently, police arrested a 32 year old black male of Kennett. At this time, police have not released the suspect's name.

He was later released pending filing of formal charges by the Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for the charge of unlawful use of a weapon.
