MIDWAY, AR (KAIT)-  Evening storms Tuesday in Baxter County cause damage to several homes.

According to Sheriff John Montgomery, the Baxter County Sheriff's Office was responded to several 911 calls just after 6:00p at the Country Life Mobile Home Park on Highway 5 North in Midway.  Residents called in to report people being trapped in the damaged homes.

Sheriff's deputies and the Midway Volunteer Fire Department began getting residents out of the homes.  Sheriff Montgomery says no one was missing and no injuries were reported.

A preliminary evaluation of the damage suggests seven homes sustained heavy damage.  One home was overturned and three others had collapsed roofs due to trees falling on them.  It appears straight line winds are the cause of the damage.

The sheriff's office has blocked off the area and has set up security at the park.

The American Red Cross and the Salvation Army are assisting those displaced with food and shelter.
