Osceola man busted for child porn by undercover officers

OSCEOLA, AR (KAIT) - A Mississippi County man is behind bars on child porn and Internet stalking charges following an ongoing investigation.

According to Marion County Criminal Investigator, Nathan Rogers, 65-year-old Richard Blagg of Osceola was arrested on Saturday. Police said Blagg was arrested as the result of an ongoing online joint investigation by the Marion County Sheriff's Department and Flippin Police Department.

Police say Blagg had made contact and had been engaging in sexually explicit chats and sending pornographic images of himself, via the Internet and cell phone, with whom he believed were two different 14-year-old girls. However, those "girls" were undercover officers from the sheriff's and police departments.

Blagg arranged a meeting with the "girls" at a motel in Flippin. Blagg drove to Flippin from Osceola, upon arrival at the motel, he was arrested without incident.

Blagg has been charged with two counts of computer child pornography, a class B felony, two counts of unlawful use of a communications device, a class C felony and one count of Internet stalking of a child, a class A felony.

Blagg's bond was set at $100,000. He's currently awaiting his first appearance before the Marion County Circuit Court.
