Traffic stop lands Forrest City woman in jail on drug charges

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) -  A Sunday night traffic stop leads police to the discovery of meth-making items.

According to Forrest City Police, the vehicle was stopped on North Division Street for not having license plates.  Police say the passenger, Tammy Marrs of Forrest City, was found to have failure to appear warrants in St. Francis County totaling $3,993.

Officers say they also found components used to manufacture methamphetamine during a search of the vehicle. 

Marrs is charged with the following:

  • Manufacturing a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Failure to Appear

Police say the driver of the vehicle was released without charges.
