Fire destroys business in downtown Lepanto

LEPANTO, AR (KAIT) – A Wednesday afternoon fire in downtown Lepanto destroys a business.

According to Lepanto firefighters, the Ken Woods Tire Service caught fire around 2pm Wednesday afternoon in downtown Lepanto.

When firefighters arrived on scene, heavy fire and smoke were seen coming from the building.

The tire service building is considered a total loss. A nearby flower shop suffered minor heat and smoke damage.

Fire investigators are still investigating the cause of the blaze. No injuries were reported.
