HOLLAND, MO (KAIT) – A second arrest has been made in a Pemiscot County shooting investigation.

Fonda Baxter, 31, of Steele is charged with hindering prosecution and endangering the welfare of a child.

In April sheriff's deputies arrested 41-year-old Lee Houston on charges of assault in the first degree and armed criminal action.

Houston was accused of shooting a Holland man in the leg on April 9.

On April 17, Sheriff Tommy Greenwell received information that Houston was possibly staying at Baxter's home.

According to Sheriff Greenwell, Baxter told investigators she didn't know Houston's whereabouts, but later gave them consent to search the home.

Sheriff Greenwell says deputies found Houston hiding in the attic.

On June 5, charges were filed against Baxter.  Her bond was set at $25,000.  She's scheduled to appear before Judge Byron Luber on Thursday, June 7.
