FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) – Officers say they found a gun and drugs when they took a Forrest City man into custody.

Police say 22-year-old Benjamin White was arrested at the Flashmarket on Deadrick Road after police verified an outstanding arrest warrant for over $3,000.

Officers say they found 14.2 grams of marijuana in his possession and a loaded 9mm handgun in the vehicle he was using for transportation.

The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Kenny Adams of Forrest City, admitted weapons had no permit, according to officers. The gun was seized, and Adams was charged with carrying a weapon.

White was served with an outstanding arrest warrant in addition to misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
