Gus Malzahn addresses Arkansas opening in post-practice press conference

JONESBORO (KAIT) - Since Bobby Petrino's dismissal Tuesday night, speculation has run rampant on who will be the next head coach to lead the Arkansas Razorbacks. Names have been thrown around like UAB head coach & former Hog assistant Garrick McGee to even Butch Davis.

Gus Malzahn was also a former Razorback assistant. The ASU head football coach said the following after Wednesday morning's practice.

"I've got my hands full dealing with the day to day things here and been totally consumed with what we're doing here. I'm the head coach of the Arkansas State Red Wolves."

Malzahn was asked later on if he or his representatives had been contacted by anyone from the University of Arkansas. He said "No, I'm the head coach here, and I'm not worried about anything else, and I'm committed to being here."

You'll hear more from Malzahn, QB Ryan Aplin, & DL Amos Draper on practice later today on the sports page in another edition of Red Wolves Raw.
