Forecasters to investigate possible tornado in Ark

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The National Weather Service will survey an area of central Arkansas to see if a tornado touched down.

Meteorologist John Robinson says a team will go out to the Morganton area in Van Buren County on Monday to see if a brief twister might have occurred in that area. A Van Buren County sheriff's dispatcher said some trees and power lines were damaged, but no injuries were reported on Sunday.

Radar estimated the storm moved through about 6:10 p.m.

A possible tornado also may have damaged trees near Lincoln in Washington County earlier in the day.

Tornado warnings also were issued for Cleburne, Conway and Faulkner counties, but no injuries or damage were reported.
