FCPD needs help finding men who robbed store at gunpoint, bound employees

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) – The Forrest City Police Department needs help finding two people of interest who robbed the Forrest City Verizon Wireless Store at gunpoint and bound two store employees.

Police are looking for two black men standing around 5 feet, 11 inches tall. The first man was wearing a red hat with a black jacket and sunglasses while the second man was wearing a blue skullcap, white t-shirt, and dark pants.

Forrest City Police say they were called to the store on 291 Deadrick Road April 2 at 7:15 p.m. to respond to a robbery.

Investigators say the two female employees there told them that two men came in through the front door, holding them at gunpoint. They go on to say the employees were forced to the back of the store where they were taped up with duct tape.

Police tell Region 8 News that the two men fled out the back door, leaving the employees taped up, and taking the following items with them: 42 smart phones, including, Apple Iphone 4s phones, Apple Iphone 4 Black Evdos, Lg VN 150, LG VS700 Enlightened, Casio C781 phones, PCD C771 Commando Smartphones, Samsung i515 Galaxy Nexus phones, Samsung U380 Brightside EVDO phones, Motorola Razr and Droid phones, and an unknown amount of cash.

If anyone has any information on the two men, or the robbery, they are asked to call the Forrest City Police at (870) 633-3434 or Forrest City Crime Stoppers at (870) 261-1499. All calls will be kept confidential.
