E-cycling in Jonesboro's Paint the Town Green Week

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-  Suddenlink hosted a "Green Event" as part of the Jonesboro's Paint the Town Green Week on Wednesday to promote e-cycling.

Customers dropped off their old electronics at the Suddenlink Retail Store on S. Caraway Road in Jonesboro from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Judi Linzy with Suddenlink says the program has been around for three years to make sure these items are disposed of properly. "You know, some of these old TV's have seven pounds of lead in the screen alone and that's going into our water when it goes into a landfill.  So, that's why we like to dispose of it properly."

Linzy also says Suddenlink has taken between 65 to 70 tons of e-cyclable waste and customers can bring in their used products for green disposal anytime of the year.
