FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) – Forrest City Police say they have found a suspect who allegedly raped a disabled woman April 13.
According to Forrest City Police, Edward Lamont Walker, 25, is accused of raping a 54-year-old disabled woman for over two hours at her home in Forrest City.
Police say at 4 p.m. on April 29, they found Walker on North Davidson Street, and that he was arrested without incident.
Edward Walker faces charges for rape, kidnapping, aggravated residential burglary, aggravated assault, and terroristic threatening in the first degree.
In a separate incident, Walker also faces aggravated robbery and possession of a firearm by certain persons in connection with the aggravated robbery of the Star 1 Convenience store located 1416 South Washington on Oct. 11, 2011.
In a third incident, charges have been filed against Walker for battery in the first degree, stemming from the shooting of Calvin Joyce in Aug. 2011. Police say Walker's cousin, 39-year-old Ricky Walker had also been arrested in connection with particular incident.
Walker is also charged with failure to appear on four cases out of St. Francis County District Court and violation of parole.
Held without bond on the rape charge, Walker is also being held in lieu of $109,697 bond for his various warrants.
