U of A Lawyers Ask for Limited Evidence in Nolan Richardson Lawsuit

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Lawyers for the University of Arkansas want a judge to limit evidence that will be heard during the trial of former basketball coach Nolan Richardson's suit.  The university lawyers filed a motion yesterday to keep a jury from hearing about football coach Houston Nutt's negotiations with Nebraska.  They say that matter is totally irrelevant to Richardson's discrimination suit.

Trial of the suit is scheduled to start on May 3.

Richardson's suit claims that the university fired him two years ago because he is black and outspoken.  University officials say he was fired because he showed a lack of confidence in the basketball program.
