Arkansas man arrested in stepfather's death

SARATOGA, Ark. (AP) - The Hempstead County Sheriff's Office says an Arkansas man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in the death of his stepfather.

Authorities found the body of William Jones Jr. in a burning car near the Arkansas-Texas state line on Saturday afternoon. Authorities say firefighters extinguished the blaze and the car was impounded and taken to a Texarkana body shop.

The car was registered to an address in Saratoga. Authorities say deputies went to the home and discovered signs of altercation. That led deputies back to the car, where they discovered Jones' body.

Jones' cause of death has not been released.

The Texarkana Gazette reports (http://is.gd/dGICQk ) that Don Airsman Jr. was arrested in Missouri on suspicion of murder for Jones' death. Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.
