LITTLE ROCK, AR - About 100 Arkansas Army National Guard soldiers, who have been deployed overseas for about a year, will be home within a week.

The 106 members of the 1123rd Transportation Company based in Marked Tree and a detachment based in Blytheville arrived back in the U.S. yesterday.  They will be processed at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and return to Arkansas in about six days.

They were deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

A welcome-home parade is scheduled for May 8 in Blytheville.
