CROSS COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe stopped by the Cross County High School Friday.
School ambassadors escorted Beebe around the new tech high school. Beebe was able to get a look at how the school works with their integrated classrooms.
Some of the integrated classes include a combined physics and algebra class, a combined social studies and English class and a combined science and computer class.
Cross County principal, David Clark said this approach helps students prepare for the real world.
"We are one to one computing, every one of our students has their own laptop," Clark said. "We are one hundred percent project based and we are trying to establish a culture of trust, respect and responsibility."
Clark said they've been fortunate this year to have support from the state of Arkansas.
