Four vehicle accident shuts down Jonesboro Highway

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police and fire departments finished cleaning up after a four vehicle accident on Friday night just after 9 o'clock.

The wreck happened on U.S. Highway 49 in front of the Dairy Queen just after 8 o'clock.

Emergency responders on the scene told Region 8 News that four people were transported to the hospital. No word on the seriousness of those injuries.

Highway 49 was shut down while the cause of the accident was investigated.
