NEW ORLEANS (Sun Belt) – The Sun Belt Conference and ESPN announced today game times for seven football contests to be televised on ESPN2 and ESPNU.
The 2012 season will be a land mark year for the Sun Belt Conference as eight games have already been selected to be televised by ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. The Baylor at Louisiana-Monroe game on ESPN for a 7p.m. (CT) kick time was previously announced.
The Sun Belt Conference's growth in television continues as the 2011 season saw the most broadcasts ever during a football season with a total of 56 games televised across multiple networks and affiliates. For the 2011-12 academic year the Sun Belt Conference is projected to have over 180 televised events across all sports.
Additionally, the 2012 season marks the first year of an eight year agreement with ESPN that includes five Thursday/Friday match-ups on ESPNU.
