JPD: Big shoes cause truck to slam into Kum & Go

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A vehicle crashed into the Kum & Go on Hwy 141/Church St. in Jonesboro Wednesday around 2 o'clock.

According to Danny Stallings, Corporal of Jonesboro Police Department Motor Cycle Unit, big shoes were to blame in the crash.

Stallings says Floyd McCran, of Jonesboro, told him the size of his shoes caused his feet to slip on the pedals, making him hit the accelerator.

No one inside or outside of the store was hurt, and McCran and his wife were unharmed.

Police say the truck was still running after the crash, and McCran was able to back out of the building.

Managers of Kum & Go are currently unsure of how the damage will cost to repair.

Region 8 News does have a news crew on the scene and will have more information as update become available.
