LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Red Cross is continuing to provide assistance to people affected by floods this week in parts of Arkansas.
Eighteen counties have been declared disaster areas after heavy rains fell across mostly the northern part of the state last week. The Red Cross says it has provided more than 700 meals and has 42 trained disaster volunteers at work. The organization says it needs donations to help fund the effort.
More rains Friday and Saturday have prompted new flash flood watches across much of the state.
