PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) – An event in Paragould highlighted how to start building your family tree one branch at a time.
The Greene County Historical and Genealogical Society held its Fourth Annual Heritage Fair Saturday, which included several seminars.
The group showed people how to access various helpful resources, like ancestry.com.
Jean Batton, the event's coordinator, says this information can help her neighbors start tracing their roots and finding out more about their family history.
"We have books that give you information going into other counties or other cities on how to look up various things," Batton said. "Anything you need to know about genealogy, we have here."
Those unable to attend the Heritage Fair are asked to visit the group anytime, Monday through Friday. Members say they can help anyone wanting to start researching the past.
