A Southeast Missouri woman wrapped up a big week by taking home a piece of the record $600 million Powerball jackpot.
JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A program helping senior citizens
become healthier ended Thursday with food and fun.
For the 7th year, people took part in the "Senior
Challenge Program" hosted by the East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging. Over a 13 week period seniors committed to
exercising 30 minutes a day, in addition to eating more fruits and vegetables.
EAAAA officials say the program not only helps quality of
life, but also serves as form of socialization inside and outside of the senior
center.
To cap off the program, participants received certificates
and awards at a picnic. Other activities
took place including a home run derby, relay races and dancing.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is naming Dan Bartlett, who had been president and CEO of the U.S. arm of global public relations firm Hill & Knowlton, as its new executive vice president of corporate affairs.
