Husband, wife charged in Pope County slaying

LONDON, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in Pope County have charged a husband and wife with the slaying of a 65-year-old man near London.
Pope County Sheriff Aaron Duvall says Lee Britton was fatally shot on Friday afternoon. His body was found a couple of miles outside of London.
Little Rock television station KLRT ( ) reports that 26-year-old Andrew James Cody is charged with first-degree murder. His wife, 25-year-old Sheena Cody is charged with being an accomplice to murder. Both are held in the Pope County Jail without bond.
The sheriff wouldn't disclose what led to the killing. The investigation is continuing. A bond hearing is set for Monday.
