LITTLE ROCK, AR - Retired General Wesley Clark gets his chance to tout John Kerry as a Democratic presidential candidate to Arkansans today.
Clark, a former Kerry rival, will be on hand for all public events as the Massachusetts senator makes a two-day campaign stop in the state.
Clark says he's still not interested in serving as Kerry's running mate, but maintains the Massachusetts senator can win over conservative southernors, especially with his service as a Vietnam veteran.
Kerry, the presumed Democratic nominee, is on the ballot in the May 18 Arkansas primary.
Kerry plans a rally and fund-raiser today in Little Rock and is scheduled to deliver a speech on health care policy tomorrow. Clark also is expected to appear on Kerry's behalf at the Democratic National Convention in July.
