Police on the hunt for man accused of stabbing his wife

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) – The Forrest City Police Department needs help finding a husband wanted for allegedly stabbing his wife. 

According to the Forrest City Police, 38-year-old Altovise Dewayne Swift is wanted for second-degree domestic battery. Swift is reported to have family in the Sunrise area of the city. 

On May 19, they say his wife, Patika Swift, was stabbed in her kitchen with a knife and say she told police her husband was responsible. 

Patika Swift was treated at and released from the Forrest City Medical Center. 

"We are asking for help from the citizens.  Mrs Swift is out of the hospital and she and family members are receiving threats from Altovise Swift in different forms," says Police Chief E. P. Reynolds.  "We want to get him locked down so the victim and family can get some relief from this situation."
