LITTLE ROCK, AR - The National Stroke Association is again launching an information campaign in what it calls the "stroke belt" - the southeastern United States.

This year's theme is "Ask Your Doctor - How Do I Lower My Risk for Stroke?"

On Saturday, the association will join the Arkansas Department of Health, Representative Mike Ross and Affiliated Foods to unveil the Stroke Risk Scorecard in Pine Bluff.

According to the association, stroke is the leading cause of disability and the third leading cause of disability and the third leading cause of death in the United States.  But only two percent of people fears having a stroke.

The association says that in 1999, Arkansas had the second highest number of stroke deaths out of all the states.
