NEA girls turn into princesses to benefit Make-a-Wish

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Disney princesses like Cinderella, Jasmine and Sleeping Beauty stopped by the First Presbyterian Church in Jonesboro Sunday for the first ever Princess for a Day Extravaganza.
Girls got a full day of pampering, including getting their hair, makeup and nails done. They also had a chance to learn a ballerina dance, make crafts and have a tea party!
Event Coordinator, Mollie Parker said this event has been an amazing experience for everyone involved.
"A lot of the girls have been coming up and saying they feel like they're in Disney World and that's exactly what I want them to feel like," Parker said. "To feel like they're a princess and get their pictures made with princesses."
Mollie said when she contacted Make-a-Wish about the event, her goal was to raise $1,000. However, through sponsors and ticket sales alone, the Princess for a Day event raised over $6,000. That's not even including the money made through the silent auction.
Mollie said with the success they saw Sunday, she hopes to make this a yearly event.
