JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - One local youth group is showing that you're never too young to lend a helping hand.
Junior High students from the Southwest Church of Christ youth group are taking part in three day "service bliz."
Monday the group made a stop at The Women's Discovery Center. Kids picked up tree limbs and debris from Sunday nights storm. Youth members also helped to sort cloths in the clothing closet.
Youth member Elea Pulliam has traveled to other cities for these type of projects, but says you don't have to go far to make an impact.
"I think it opens our eyes a lot because usually we think, oh we can't do anything here, because we actually have to go somewhere to be a missionary and to do mission work. It really opens our eyes to see there stuff here in Jonesboro that we could be doing everyday," said Pulliam.
The group also made a visit to the NEA Food Bank. Other stops will include the Salvation Army and St. Bernards Village.
