High winds, hail, power outages hit Arkansas and SEMO

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) - High winds and quarter-sized hail swept across portions of Arkansas, knocking over trees and triggering power outages.

Monday's storms knocked out power to more than 20,000 customers for a time, but utility crews worked after the bad weather passed to restore service. Entergy power outages map »

Hail 1.5 inches in diameter in Boone County, and inch-wide hail fell at Conway and Jonesboro.

Winds of 60 mph were reported at Jonesboro, Searcy and in Lonoke County and some trees were snapped during the worst of the weather.
