Tip-A-Cop for Special Olympics

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) --  A few Region 8 officers are putting up their gun and badge and picking up the guest checkbook.   They'll be waiting tables at Colton's Steak House & Grill for charity Thursday night.

The fundraiser is for the Special Olympic Arkansas.

"Tip-A-Cops are fun for the entire family," says Kimberly Shipley, NEA Field Representative for Special Olympics Arkansas, "The officers and the Colton's staff make a terrific team."

Shipley says its fundraiser's like Tip-A-Cop that the Special Olympics can continue to offer training and sporting events for its participants.

The event happens June 1414th from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

For more information on the Tip-A-Cop or Special Olympics, contact Kimberly Shipley at 870-275-7075 or by email at kimberly@specialolympicsarkansas.org.
