Debit card stolen in Trumann, police looking for information

TRUMANN, AR (KAIT) – Police are looking for information on a wallet theft at a Trumann convenience store.

According to Trumann police, Kenneth Stokes told them someone had picked up his wallet at Jordan's Quick Stop on 301 HWY 463 N sometime between 8:20 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday, June 2 and removed two debit cards, a driver's license and a social security card. The wallet was found on Harline Street that runs behind the business.

When the wallet was returned, police said Stokes had informed that $70 in purchases were made with his US Bank Debit Card.

At the time of the report, investigators said Stokes was unaware of the purchases, but had cancelled at least one of his debit cards.

Police said they found that the $70 had been removed from an ATM at First Delta Bank on Hwy 463 around 1:44 p.m. June 3.

If you have any information on this theft, please call Lieutenant Lenny R. Beccker or Detective Jarrod Cook at (870) 483-6423.
