Pet vaccination clinic draws large crowd

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A low-cost pet vaccination clinic drew a rather large crowd Saturday morning.

Volunteers saw people line up an hour before doors opened at the Northeast Arkansas for Animals (NAFA) facility in Jonesboro.

Neighbors came to receive discounted shots for their four-legged friends. Dr. Jack Jones, a veterinarian, says NAFA holds the clinic monthly for people who cannot afford regular vet care.

"They are able to receive good care," Jones said. "It is basic veterinary care, but they can receive good care at a price that they can afford."

Grants have partially defrayed the cost to put on these clinics once a month, but NAFA is seeking more monetary donations to provide care for even more animals.
