Two dead after one car accident near Swifton

JACKSON COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Two people died and two were injured after a one car accident Saturday afternoon near Swifton on U.S. 67.

According to the crash report from the Arkansas State Police, Jerry Moore, 70 of Black Rock, was driving south with he lost control of his 2007 Ford Expedition.  Moore overcorrected and the vehicle flipped and rolled into a ditch.

Moore and one of his passengers, Donna Moore, 66 of Black Rock, were both killed in the crash.  According to the report, neither victim was wearing a seat belt.  Two children, a four year old and a seven month old were in the vehicle.  They were sent to area hospitals.  Their conditions are unknown.

The accident happened around 12:20pm Saturday approximately one mile south of Swifton.
