Fourteen ASU sports meet NCAA APR threshold

JONESBORO (KAIT) - The NCAA released their annual Academic Progress Rate report on Wednesday.

Fourteen of the 15 Arkansas State team sports met the NCAA APR threshold of 925 (out of 1,000). The men's basketball team just missed with a APR rate of 921.

The men's golf team received a perfect score, and are one of 12 Sun Belt teams to receive Public Recognition Awards.

The Arkansas State team APRs are below, with their Sun Belt ranking in parentheses. The bowling team has their NCAA ranking in parentheses.

Football: 948 (tied for 3rd)

Men's Basketball: 921 (9th)

Women's Basketball: 936 (tied for 11th)

Baseball: 965 (5th)

Women's Bowling: 982 (9th in NCAA)

Men's Golf: 1000 (tied for 1st in Sun Belt, tied for 1st in NCAA)

Women's Golf: 953 (11th)

Women's Soccer: 968 (tied for 7th)

Women's Tennis: 992 (tied for 3rd)

Men's Indoor Track: 973 (1st)
