Jurors to Resume Deliberations This Morning in Trial of Billy Dale Green

MAY 21, 2004 - Posted at 7:24 p.m. CDT

POCAHONTAS, AR - A jury in Randolph County is to return to deliberations today in a capital murder case against a man accused of killing a family of four from Dalton.

Jurors met about two hours yesterday before the judge let them break for the day.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for 49-year-old Billy Dale Green of Warm Springs.

He is accused in the July 1998 deaths of 30-year-old Carl Allen Elliott; his wife, 27-year-old Lisa Elliott; and their two children, 8-year-old Felicia Ann and six-year-old Gregory.

Prosecutors say Green was angry with the father over drugs and was high on methamphetamine the night of the murders.
