LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Arkansas attorney general's office is warning Arkansans not to be fooled by scams that promise ways to produce more miles from a gallon of gasoline.
With fuel costing about $2 per gallon, Attorney General Mike Beebe warns that scam artists are primed to try to take advantage of motorists.
Beebe's office warns consumers to be wary of any advertisement that makes claims that a product will vastly boost mileage.
The attorney general's office says the Environmental Protection Agency has tested more than 100 alleged gas-saving devices and found none that significantly improve gas mileage.
